You've probably had a lot of people ask, but do you plan to ever sell any of your embroidery comics (or any of the others)? Your artwork is amazing, and if you did plan to, I would think about buying something. Thanks.
Thank you so much for writing. I am planning on selling printed collections of my work soon. I’ve been saving up money, and figuring out the logistics of scanning and printing everything. My goal is to have a few books available in time for CAKE, along with some original embroideries, paintings, and prints. I’ll be making announcements soon!
Ah, I'm so glad I found this blog! It's amazing! And you're FIlipino, too (or part-Filipino)?
Hi!! Thank you so much! I am half-Filipino, as my mom was born and grew up in Cebu. My dad is Irish-Italian American, so I’ve always hovered somewhere between both cultures. I’m starting to write about my mom and the stories she’d tell me when I was a kid, so I hope you’ll enjoy reading them!
I’d very much like to visit the Philippines one day, and draw a comic travelogue about it.
I’ve spent the week working on a needle point thing for a future comic. I painted this little self portrait of myself as a break from stabbing my finger tips. My girlfriend, Lauren, painted the background.
I’ve resisted drawing the Boy Wonder again for years, for fear of going back to the well, but Fall always makes me nostalgic. I’ve been thinking about my college days (get ‘em, Donks), and ol’ Robin felt like a good avatar for 19 year old me.
Hello! I’ve been spending a lot of time marathon training, and almost none at my drawing board. However, I started drawing again after I read your message, and I will try to get back onto a weekly schedule. Thanks for reading :)
